Martha Rose and Walter H. Hembel Memorial Scholarship
Martha and Walter resided in the Town of Erin in Washington County where they farmed for 60 plus years. There they raised their family and worked alongside each other their entire married life. Walter and Martha lived in Erin until their passing; Walter in 2005 and Martha in 2006. Martha was known for her baking and cooking skills by family and friends. Both Walter and Martha valued family and education. They were friendly, generous, and caring; putting everyone else first. This scholarship will ensure their values and loving ways will endure for years to come.
